This article explains how to clear all PushCrew data from a website. This is particularly useful when doing development using the PushCrew javascript API - after you clear all data, we'll treat you as a new visitor. (So if you are testing new features you've developed with javascript, you may need to do this every time you change the javascript.)

For HTTP websites

Do the following:

  1. Find the PushCrew domain of the site, e.g. https://spamsite.pushcrew.com.
  2. Visit this site in the browser.
  3. Click the green lock next to the URL.
  4. Switch notifications to "ask by default".
  5. Go to the inspector -> Resources -> Cookies, and Inspector->Resources->Local Storage. Then delete all the cookies and close https://spamsite.pushcrew.com.
  6. Go to the client website, e.g. http://spamsite.com. Go to Inspector -> Resources -> Cookies and Inspector->Resources->Local Storage. Delete all cookies here too.
  7. Reload the client website.

For HTTPS websites

  1. Visit the client site, e.g. https://securespam.com.
  2. Click the green lock next to the URL.
  3. Switch notifications to "ask by default".
  4. Go to the inspector -> Resources -> Cookies and Inspector->Resources->Local Storage. Then delete all the cookies and close https://securespam.com.
  5. Reload the client website.
